Media Studies A Level Transition Work

3, 2, 1 …ACTION!

Hopefully, you will soon be full of anticipation, excitement and passion for the academic journey that lies ahead…and you could not have chosen a more inspiring, complex and relevant subject area for study than AS Media Studies.

In order to introduce yourself and your prior media knowledge and interests, the following transition work is to be completed before September 2017:

Pre-Induction Brief

1.  Select a film which you hold as an absolute favourite and prepare a 5 minute presentation to the class with accompanying A4 handout. Pre-recorded or ‘live’ presentations are equally acceptable.

2.  Produce a collage or montage for display which references your use and enjoyment of a variety of media in your daily life.

3.  Visit the AQA Media Studies website to find out the structure, content and method of assessment for this innovative, challenging and exciting course of study.
