Medicine and Business Careers Conference

Dr Nathalie Phare, London based doctor and TGGS old girl, shares some information concerning coronary care with students at the first careers conference which took place on Saturday, 28th February.

The lucky delegates had the opportunity to listen and work with a whole range of medical professionals and members of the business community.  

Amongst many other activities students were able to find out about the responsibilities of a human resources manager in a large business, to see live footage of an open-heart operation with a blow-by-blow account from the actual surgeon performing the intervention, to learn about the pathways to qualifications in accountancy and to handle some of the technical apparatus used by medical practitioners to diagnose patients' conditions.
