Friday 24th February
All Year 7 – 11 Students
We are now collecting Sainsbury’s Active Kids vouchers. The box for collection will be next to the blue trip box on the shelving opposite Mrs Batt’s office. Otherwise, please give them in to reception. Thank you.
We will be selling pancakes in aid of Torbay Hospital at lunch on Tuesday 28th out of the food tech room, so make sure to bring in some change! Toppings on offer will include lemon and sugar, Nutella and syrup, and prices start at £1.
Could the lovely young lady that came to Reception yesterday morning looking for a watch with a white strap, please come back to Reception, as I think I may have it. Thank you.
Lost: An orange Paper Chase pencil case, which has white birds on the outside. Please hand it into Reception if you find it. Thank you.
Found: 2 keys have been found in the Lecture Theatre on Tuesday 21st February, they will be in Reception if you think they belong to you.
The following items have been handed into Reception, some Alice in Wonderland Art Work, a selection of water bottles, a selection of pencil cases, 2 watches, 3 pairs of glasses, locker key with an Australian boomerang keyring, a pair of pink Nike shin pads. All unclaimed items of lost property will be donated to charity on Friday 24th February.
7C: You are going to be in IT3 for P4 on Mon and back in A2 for P5. Can you please bring in high quality photographs from the internet of between 5-10 different types of animals - it would be good if they can have very distinct characteristics as you will be asked to invent your own types of mythical creatures by putting different bits of animals together during P5 by drawing them into your sketchbook.
8R & 8W PPP – Energisers KAW 2
Thanks to the majority of students who have completed your Energiser & copied it into the correct documents in Student Work as requested for last Tuesday; your laminated Energisers will be given to your in your next PPP lesson with me next week as promised. Those students who have not done this task have until the end of Monday (27th Feb) lunchtime to do this or they will be placed in lunchtime detention on Tuesday – any student who has a problem should come & see me as usual. The instructions are reproduced for you again below. Thank you, Mr Charlwood
-Must be on our blank template (your Student Planners are actually smaller than A5!) in PPP -> L8
- Must save as a PDF doc -> save as -> ‘computer’ -> ‘save as type’ (use drop down menu) -> click on ‘PDF’ -> save -> open up & double check it looks right (if not see ICT technicians)
- Copy & paste (in colour) both sides of your final, finished Energiser as follows … CLEARLY NAMED e.g. Smith, Suzy 8J into: “Student Work -> PPP Finished Energisers -> 8R/8W Finished Energisers”
Year 9 - Please ensure that you arrive to lessons punctually. I will be keeping a check on latecomers and will be asking you to make up the time at lunchtime if you are repeatedly late to lessons. Being late disrupts the whole class. Well done to the majority of you who do arrive on time, all the time! Mrs Parfitt
Could all y11 tutors please send any girls taking double science to Burton Hall as soon as they have been registered.
Thanks very much, Mr Baker
