Chamber Choir performance for Remembrance Day

On Sunday 12th November, ten members of the school chamber choir travelled to Kingsbridge to take part in a Remembrance Day concert performance of Karl Jenkins' 'The Armed Man' with the Stanborough Chorus.

The girls performed two solo items - Mozart's 'Ave Verum Corpus' and Ivor Novello's 'Keep the Home Fires Burning' in the first half. In the second half they performed in multiple movements of the main performance of the Armed Man, both on their own and in combination with the 50 plus members of the Stanborough Chorus.

It was a great experience with a fabulous and dramatic professional orchestra accompanying a very moving piece of music, which is subheaded - 'A Mass for Peace.'

The concert was a complete sell out with standing room only and both the Stanborough choir members and the audience were extremely complimentary both about the vocal quality of the girls but also their behaviour.

What an incredibly moving, fantastic day it was and our students were brilliant!!
