Black Lives Matter - TGGS Statement

In response to the death of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement, the school is reflecting on how it can play a positive role going forward. We realise we have a duty to send out a clear message that racism is not tolerated 

We are categorical that we will not tolerate racism and that ignorance and prejudice are never acceptable. We acknowledge that schools can play a major role in dismantling systemic racism. 

We have made some progress via our curriculum and ethos, but we also know that there is much still to do. We are committed to listen to our community, to drive change and to equip our pupils better with the knowledge they need to understand and address complex social issues as well as to be aware of and combat racism.
