Career Award for Mr Neighbour

We're pleased to be able to share the success of Mr Gordon Neighbour, our Careers Leader and Subject Lead for Geology and Computing & IT, who has been awarded the 2020 Frederick Sherrell Career Recognition Award.

This award is given annually by the South West Group of the Geological Society, to an individual who has made both a contribution to the understanding of the geology of South West England, and the promotion of geology in the community.

Previous recent winners of the award include Dr Jenny Bennet of the University of Exeter, Professor Peter Scott of Camborne School of Mines, John Grimes of the John Grimes Partnership, Professor James Griffiths of the University of Plymouth, Alan White of Red Rock Geoscience Limited and both Dr Deryck Laming and Dr Brian Leveridge, formerly of the British Geological Survey.
