Today we welcomed Charles Courtenay, 19th Earl of Devon, to TGGS who very generously gave up his time to talk to our A Level History students, our A Level Politics students and any other students interested in politics!
The Earl gave a very detailed account of his fascinating ancestry (with links to Henry VIIII) and how the Title was not a straightforward line of succession by any means !! He then gave a talk on how the Earldom has always been linked to politics in more ways than one..
