Charity Week

The Heads of House organise a series of events during Charity Week in November, which involves each house having a full day to raise money and includes the use of the Old Hall. There are traditional stalls like a tombola, sponge the teacher, guess the number of sweets in the jar, etc. as well as a multitude of food stalls involving chocolate, sweets and cake. Each day has a different dressing-up theme; some of the regular favourites are superheroes, pirates, and Disney characters. The week finishes with a traditional netball match against the boys’ school. Several thousand pounds are raised each year for the girls’ chosen charities.
