KS3 Overview
To introduce and embed skills and knowledge of the performance process, which allows pupils to discuss and develop a love of the performing arts.
Building on KS2 and preparing for KS4…
Drama experiences at primary school can vary hugely. Most KS2 pupils will have seen a theatrical performance and taken part in a year 6 show, plus various other performances throughout KSs1 and 2. Therefore, TGGS drama will initially focus on working together and then assure pupils across the board know the same basic skills and terminology related to performance skills, such as tableaux, proxemics, mime, etc. These skills will then be put to use through different schemes of work exploring different topics.
KS3 Assessment
Informal assessments are made every three weeks with two official assessments per year on a rehearsed performance.
